Careers that have a short life

There are some careers that don’t last longer and have a very limited duration. These fields are lucrative, but if you are in one of them, you must keep in mind that this career is not for lifetime and you have to think of an alternative before you start looking older enough for your field.

Acting

If you are competent enough, only then you can grab roles according to your age for life in the film industry but this is of course very rare and as soon as you start looking older and physically unfit, films tend to slip from your hands, your market value goes down and producers start showing reluctance in casting you in their films. An acting career is normally started from the age of 18 to 21 years and as soon as you cross 40, your image starts to change thus compelling you to think of an alternate profession.

Modelling

A career in modelling is even much shorter than acting career. A model’s career may exceed till 24 or maximum till 26 years and then it ends. Therefore, before you enter the glamorous field of modelling, do keep in mind that it is going to last soon and you must think of some other field where you can immediately jump when your modelling world turns its back on you.

Sports

A sportsman too has a very short career and ends before the age of 40. A sportsman can earn however, a lot of money, name and fame even during a period of just 18 or 20 years but he has to say goodbye to the sports field as soon as his body starts feeling difficulty in tolerating the hardships of the playground. A sportsman, after getting retirement, can opt to become a coach, can open his own institute to train young blood and there are many other options which a retired sportsman can choose!

Dancing

A dancer is required to be physically fit, strong and flexible. Therefore, normally the training starts at a very young age like 17 years and usually professional dancers stop performing on the stage in their late 30s. However, they can opt to become a choreographer or dance teachers.

Military

A career in military requires brutal physical training but then gives you perks and an option to get retired early say after 20 years that means if you had joined the army at the age of 21, you can take retirement at 40. Retired military officers can then serve in government offices.
